Lionel Messi transformed soccer in the US after moving to Inter Miami FC. But his move left a big void at PSG, even after they kept Kylian Mbappe safe from the clutches of Real Madrid. Despite leaving the Ligue 1 winners last season, the Argentine remains a talking point in Paris. And recently, the Inter Miami FC superstar was in the spotlight for a peculiar reason.

Rumors have been escalating that Lionel Messi and his former teammate Vitinha had a bust-up during one of the training sessions last season. The alleged incident is cited to be one of the reasons that culminated in Messi leaving the French capital.

It is rumored that Lionel Messi, in the altercation with Vitinha, said“Not only are you weak, but you’re hurting me.” to the Portuguese International, after sparring in the training. These accusations, however, were put to an end by the PSG star.

The former FC Porto star tweeted, “I don’t usually comment on anything in the press, but this time I have to say it. It is completely false that this happened,” the midfielder replied to the so-called bust-up with Messi in training.

Kylian Mbappe has been in superb form this season, after a small stumble in preseason. He scored in PSG’s 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League as well. The former Monaco striker has already bagged seven goals in only four appearances.

With Messi and Neymar leaving the club, it’s time for Mbappe to be the star of the PSG team. Another primary concern for the club could be Kylian Mbappe’s contract situation. The Frenchmen’s contract will end in 2024. He has an option to extend it for a year as well. However, Spanish Giants Real Madrid are the favorites to secure the youngster’s signature.
