Fabio Fognini Gives His Verdict on The GOAT Debate

The GOAT debate and player to end up with the most number of Grand Slams have been the most discussed subject matters in the tennis world. With Roger Federer leading the race with 20 Slams and his arch-rivals Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic chasing him undauntedly, it will be interesting the legend who’ll be declaring himself as the GOAT. Recently Italian tennis player Fabio Fognini gave a one-sided declaration to the victor of the GOAT debate. He concretely stated Serbian legend Djokovic will be surpassing all the records.
“Amongst the Big Three he (Djokovic) is the one who can overcome most of all, for the head, the body, and the hunger he has. I think that he can improve Federer’s record,” said Fognini.
33-year-old Novak Djokovic has been practicing every day while the tennis tour is shut. He owns a hard court in his residence Marbella, Spain, and arduously trained since the cancelation of Indian Wells.

If US Open and French Open 2020 are held as per the plan, World Number one Novak Djokovic will have the chance of turning a 19-time Grand Slam this year itself.

Fabio Fognini on his friendship with Novak Djokovic
Italian tennis player Fognini also shared his friendship with Djokovic. It began when both the men were 14-years-old, and last week, they turned 33.
“I had a good chat with Nole. I also asked him about meditation, maybe it might come in handy. Djokovic and I have known each other since we were 14. It was already clear that he would do great things. He already had an iron character. We speak often,” he shared.
