Matchday 13 of the FIFA World Cup was replete with drama and controversy as both Iran and Morocco held Portugal and Spain respectively to a draw. The Moroccans were particularly impressive as they twice took the lead against the Spanish, only to be pegged back by the individual quality of the Europeans and VAR. The Iranians were also caught a lot of eyes with their defensive discipline and never-say-die attitude.

Unfortunately, neither Iran nor Morocco will be heading to the Knockout Stages but they will be going out with their heads held high.
