Nico Rosberg topped all Practice sessions and took forward this lead to Qualifying as well. But it was very tricky in the end. Hamilton topped Q1 and Q2 from Rosberg.
In Q3 Rosberg was going quicker on his first lap from Hamilton but ultimately bailed out due to an electronics issue. He cam back out with less than 5 minutes to go into Q3 with a heavier fuel load and fresh set of softs. The first flying lap he did, he nailed it perfectly going nearly a tenth faster than Hamilton!
Lewis Hamilton had another fast lap up on his sleeves but couldn’t match the German’s time which he set in tricky circumstances in front of his home fans.
Brilliant indeed.
