Conor Trashes Khabib Nurmagoemdov
Conor still believes that he won the war between him and Khabib the last time. Still to this day, Conor’s notion about the whole situation is, Khabib called him out by slapping his teammate, Conor showed up and Khabib was not man enough to come out of the bus to confront Conor.
“For me I went into that Brooklyn arena, my job is done. He(Khabib Nurmagomeodv) stayed put, stayed put behind them women. Although I didn’t know at that time. But he did not move like he should have like any man with true honor would have.” stated Conor.
Conor believes he responded to Khabib’s call-out by showing up in the arena to confront Khabib. And the fight was just a formality. Conor explained that he was not committed to the fight with Khabib, he was injured going into the fight, and he was not as focused as he should have been.

“Well, we were called out. We showed up and that as it. Like I said I stay put the back of that bus. But like I said it’s a different time, and I am at a good spot. So my job was done. And then the fight was just a secondary thing to it. I was not as committed. I just went in for a fight and that’s it. I was damaged, injured, unfocused.“

It’s safe to conclude that Conor was not at his best when he took on Khabib Nurmagomedov. Although he put a valiant effort and won the 4th round with one of the greatest fighters in the history of the sport, Conor could have done better if he had full commitment to the fight against Khabib. Explaining what went wrong in his last training camp, Conor said:
“Just my lack of commitment outside the gym. I was committed inside the gym, don’t get me wrong, hard work inside the gym. It’s just outside the gym you drift off. other things take precedent you eat that extra thing that you should not. You stay up later than usual etc. And that leads to the next training session. and you are not as fully prepared for it and you don’t enjoy it as much and then it continues to cycle and the circle continues and then you end up picking up an injury. it’s just I was not focused on it.”
