While the combat sports world recognizes great fighters, the pre-match antics also add to the narrative. Sometimes the verbal jousting is more entertaining than the actual fight itself. History has a special place for the greatest rivalries in combat sports, made immortal by the blows and the words exchanged. The verbal exchanges between Conor McGregor‘s teammate Dillon Danis and Logan Paul have now taken center stage. Although it is famous, it might not be for the reasons we just mentioned above.

Dillon Danis has come under fire from many MMA Veterans as well as fans for supposedly crossing a line. The feud that precedes their boxing match has taken many turns, some of which haven’t struck a chord with fans. Danis has been on an X spree, taking to the social media platform to highlight Nina Agdal, Logan Paul’s fiancée’s dating history. His posts also aimed to shed a bad light on her ahead of his fight with Logan. In a recent update, however, things seem to have taken a legal route.

‘El Jefe’ took to X to share a new update about the feud. He alleged that Logan Paul’s fiancée has taken legal action against him for his actions. He wrote, “Nina Adgel has filed a massive lawsuit against me. She filed a restraining order against me and is seeking prison time, so the fight is in jeopardy if I’m in jail. This is actually wild but I won’t stop f**k the system come get me. Logan Paul is a dead man walking.

In the event of the lawsuit, Danis stated that he was worried about not being able to fight. He also issued a threat to Paul calling him a “dead man walking”. However, this wouldn’t be Danis’ first fight that he missed. In this scenario, Danis’ inability to fight might not be something under his control. In the past, however, Danis was trolled incessantly for missing his fight with KSI. While the grounds for the cancellation are still murky, the event did not put him in a good light. Viewers have now taken to X to share their opinions on ‘El Jefe’s update.

One fan went into details about what they thought was the case: “Logan is having her do this cuz he afraid. He’s afraid he’s gonna get knocked out by a dude that got choked out by a bouncer. He’d probably get more props if he got knocked out by the true African champ mike Perry so he’s trying to save face here. Love all this btw. Dannis rn is the king.

Some fans took the opportunity to bring up Danis’ bad reputation of pulling out of fights: “Him saying the fight is in jeopardy is him saying he don’t want to do it. That case won’t be done before the fight”; “honestly hope dillon backs out of the fight, seeing mike fight logan would be way more entertaining”; “Dillon has proven he will do/say anything to get out of a fight.” After these new developments, there is one question on everyone’s mind: Will the fight still happen on October 14th? Let’s wait and see.
