Conor McGregor‘s Hollywood debut project, a remake of the action classic ‘Road House’, is set for a March 21 global release on Amazon Prime . ‘Mac’ is playing the character of ‘Knox’, the main physical foil to the protagonist played by Jake Gyllenhaal.

And apparently, the bombastic Irishman has taken some chances in the film and has a scene featuring him n*de from the back. The Doug Liman-directed film was up for a screening at the South By Southwest Film Festival, after which the cast and crew held a Q&A session, where he discussed the infamous scene.

McGregor revealed that while he was initially reluctant to do the scene, but took inspiration from his friend and Hollywood megastar Arnold Schwarzenegger, who appeared n*de in the iconic opening scene of the 1984 classic ‘Terminator’

“Arnold’s first debut into the movie game was very similar. Boom, lands down, solid as a rock [in the opening scene of The Terminator], if Arnie done it, and f****** look at his career, I said maybe I’m onto something. I just rocked with it,” McGregor said. While the Irishman may be looking forward to his silver screen debut, serious questions still remain around his return to the octagon.

Uncertainty persists over Conor McGregor’s UFC return

Conor McGregor was slated to fight Michael Chandler late last year after their contentious ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ season 31 stint as rival head coaches. However, the bout was postponed due to undisclosed reasons and McGregor announced that he will face Michael Chandler in June this year after three years of inactivity.

This, however, was quickly shot down by UFC CEO Dana White who told reporters that the former two-division champion was not ready and that he may fight by the end of the year if all goes well. However, McGregor said in an interview at the SWSX Film Festival that he is still hopeful of fighting Chandler in International Fight Week as he had originally planned.
