Tyron Woodley will fight Jake Paul in August in a boxing match. Recently, in an interview, UFC welterweight Mike Perry shared his thoughts on how he thinks the fight would play out. ‘Platinum’ also revealed what was it like to spar against Jake Paul.
Perry pointed out that Woodley can actually strike and trains regularly with boxers. So, a fight against him will be a lot different for ‘The Problem Child’ than it was for him against Askren. ‘Platinum’ also revealed that his spar against Paul was tougher than the one he had against Darren Till.
“He’s got long reach. And he’s got different tricks. He taught me something. I caught on. The first round he started doing something, and I was like, okay, wasn’t doing damage, but it was like keeping him at bay. So then I couldn’t necessarily get to him. And I started working around that and it took a couple of rounds to get around it. But once we got to the fourth round, I was taking over. Oh, man. Well, I mean, Jake Paul was a better spar than Till because that was like, that was an awkward situation, gloves,” said Perry.

Paul is sneaky with his techniques. That often surprises his counterparts. Also, as MMA fighters have to adapt to boxing gloves and rules, ‘The Problem Child’ has a minor advantage in boxing bouts.
However, Woodley, who is a true legend of the sport, has ferocious knockout power. Hence, his MMA peers believe he may have a shot at landing the win.

“I can see Woodley finishing it but I can see Woodley getting the decision too. I can, I really don’t I don’t see Jake getting that finish because he’ll hit him and he’ll hurt him. He’s got slick shots. But he is nothing that’s coming after he’s not coming to get the finish like he the way he hit Ben, Ben looked like he has never taken a punch, a real punch before in his life. T Woodley has. He gets in there with boxers,” Perry further added.
