Late American rapper Aaron Carter had found success in the music industry, but not as much in combat sports. The singer fought against Lamar Odom in a celebrity boxing match which he, unfortunately, lost. The rapper claimed he could’ve taken on UFC great Conor McGregor In an Instagram live session. He was also willing to take on one of the best lightweight boxers in WBC, Ryan Garcia.
The confident American definitely had the conviction and willpower. However, he did not have either the talent, or the practice. Ultimately, the singer and actor faced a defeat in his only professional boxing match against an opponent, who was almost twice his size.

Aaron Carter had the confidence to take on Conor McGregor
Singer Aaron Carter was found dead in his home in Lancaster, California, on November 5th. The rapper also took an interest in boxing later in his career. Carter fought against former professional basketball player Lamar Odom in June 2021.

The young American was hyping himself up in an Instagram live session prior to the match. He was talking to a friend on call while explaining how he was eager to break his opponent. He certainly didn’t fear anyone and wanted to take on the world before the fight.
Carter even fancied his chances against UFC legend Conor McGregor. Also, claimed that even boxer Ryan Garcia would go down in the ring against him.
The rapper said “Bro, I’m gonna eat him (Lamar Odom) so bad people are gonna be like ‘Aaron Carter… He can take on Conor McGregor.’”
“Aaron can take Conor McGregor if he wanted to” added “and whoop his ass” and claimed he would win against The Irishman.
He also stated, “I will fight f*cking Ryan Garcia bro” out of the sheer excitement he had for his upcoming fight.
Carter lost his only professional fight
Odom was a much taller opponent at 6’10. Being outmatched in every aspect, including their reach and weight, it seemed a frightening mismatch.

But Carter was brave to take on the odds. Odom didn’t hold back against the young fighter, who held his ground until the second round out of three. When referee Chuck Liddell intervened and called the winner.
