Israel Adesanya has climbed to the top of the mountain in MMA in a relatively short period. He is one of the biggest draws in the UFC and has etched his name in the history books after becoming the first two-time middleweight champion in the promotion. ‘The Last Stylebender’ recently shared a post on social media with a fighter whom he believes will be a future champion.

Adesanya proved his doubters wrong after an impressive knockout victory against Alex Pereira, whom many believed is his Achilles heel in combat sports. It was the biggest win of his career after overcoming adversity he won back his middleweight title in emphatic fashion. Now, he has shown a glimpse of a future UFC champion.

Israel Adesanya has always shown his support for his teammates, such as Alexander Volkanovski and Dan Hooker. He now has shared a story on Instagram standing together with a 21-year-old amateur boxer, whom he believes is going to become a champion in the future.

Izzy captioned his story: “Only speaking.” The amateur boxer in question here is named Taj Kagho. Both Adesanya and the young amateur boxer caught up with each other as they took to social media and shared a picture of holding a UFC title each.

Who is Taj Kagho?

Taj Kagho is an Australian amateur boxer standing at 6 foot 1 inch tall. He is a Southpaw-stance fighter who has registered 20 wins and 5 losses in his entire amateur career so far (according to BoxRec). He is a fast-rising star in the world of boxing and many fighters avoid fighting him inside the ring. Kagho has been making waves in the amateur boxing scene since he started out in 2017.

Kagho started off fighting as a welterweight but later transitioned to the light heavyweight category. He was not successful in his debut bout. But Kagho later went on an 8-fight winning streak before registering a few more losses. However, the young Australian boxer has shown the world he can become a world-class combat sports athlete with a great record under his belt.

It is a wonderful thing to see professional athletes supporting young up-and-comers to pursue their dreams of making a name for themselves in combat sports. Taj Kagho has been boxing his whole life. But now it looks like he will be jumping ship to MMA.
