He discussed with his guest, David Goggins, how the booing Irish crowd charged up Khabib a day before the fight. He also mentioned how Nurmagomedov dominated McGregor in that fight. Rogan even impersonated parts of Khabib‘s speech. McGregor had recently called out Joe Rogan over Twitter for his commentary during the match.

Joe Rogan impersonated Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s “I am gonna smash your boy“. He then played a video from the night before the fight where Nurmagomedov claimed he was going to beat McGregor amidst a crowd full of McGregor fans.

Rogan explains what fueled Nurmagomedov‘s performance

Rogan also said that Conor McGregor talking trash and the Irish crowd constantly booing him fueled Nurmagomedov during the fight. Conor McGregor and his team had attacked Nurmagomedov‘s team bus before the fight, and that must have played on his mind too.

Joe Rogan went on to explain how ‘The Eagle’ dominated rounds and was filled with rage. He challenged Conor McGregor to talk in the Octagon during their intense encounter. He also pointed out Conor McGregor saying it’s “business“. The match ended with Khabib Nurmagomedov trapping Conor McGregor in a rear naked choke.

Joe Rogan and Conor McGregor have been trading blows

Joe Rogan and Conor McGregor are not on exactly cordial terms. The fighter had earlier targeted the UFC commentator for his narration in the Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Conor McGregor fight. Rogan has also accused Conor McGregor of using PED’s. Rogan seems to have mocked Conor McGregor for his loss against Nurmagomedov.

Conor McGregor has been out of the octagon since July 2021. Khabib Nurmagomedov is retired and working on his Protégé Islam Makhachev. The duo fighting it out ever again looks impossible, but the memories that these two fighters have given the fans will excite them forever.
