Amidst Rivalry With Conor McGregor, Khabib’s 3ft 4in Compatriot, Hasbulla to Fight in the UFC, According to Reports

The UFC has hosted a lot of thrilling and memorable fights to date. The ‘Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen’ fight at UFC 117, ‘Brock Lesnar vs. Shane Carwin’ at UFC 116, and ‘Michael Chandler vs Justin Gaethje’ at UFC 268 are all examples of jaw-dropping fights. But, the fight that outmatches every other one in terms of viewership and chaos was the ‘Conor McGregor vs Khabib Nurmagomedov,’ fight at UFC 229.

This showdown broke all the records in MMA viewership and was also one of the most bitter feuds between the fighters. The after-feud of this fight has once more poked up with Nurmagomedov’s country mate and internet sensation, ‘Hasbulla’ appealing for a fight with McGregor.

Who is this kid Hasbulla looking to fight Conor McGregor?

Hasbulla is an internet sensation who hails from the Russian republic of Dagestan, boasting a whopping 2.1M followers on Instagram and a humongous 4.3 billion views on his videos on Tiktok. Although Hasbulla looks like a kid, he is actually 20 years old. But he suffers from a form of ‘Dwarfism’ due to which he stands at only 3ft 4 inches tall.

He had a verbal banter on Twitter with the biggest star of the UFC, Conor McGregor, which probably led him to call out McGregor for this fight.

McGregor tweeted a modified photo of himself earlier, where he was on a yacht holding up a children’s toy with Hasbulla’s head photoshopped on it. This tweet supposedly sparked off the banter between the two leading up to the fight. He had also captioned this currently deleted tweet, “Now what you saying you little gimp”.

Khabib‘s country man’ fired back tweeting, “Can’t make this up. @TheNotoriousMMA why you delete every time I reply.” He also called out for a fight to be scheduled between him and McGregor.

Hasbulla’s next tweet read, “Hey uncle @danawhite and @ufc please make it happen, let me eat this chicken @TheNotoriousMMA. I’m hungry, I’ll smash him with my mountain spirit. My brother @TeamKhabib smashed him and all his team, now is my time to rise! #HasbullaTime #CantDeleteMyTweetsConor.”

Dana White officially accepted Hasbulla’s request

Hasbulla’s tweet definitely worked on the boss, Dana White, as he signed a five-year contract with the company back in September this year. Hasbulla then went on to thank the UFC president and his friend Khabib Nurmagomedov, the unbeaten former lightweight champion, for making his goal a reality.

His ‘thank you’ post was, The rumors are true. I have officially signed a deal to fight in the UFC! Details will be revealed by the end of the year.”

 

He also wrote, “Thank you to @ufc, @danawhite, @khabib_nurmagomedov, @sungurov_usa, @justinozuna and everyone who helped make this dream become a reality”.

The UFC has also launched ‘Hasbulla Fight Kit’ which also had Hasbulla saying, “All my fans will be able to buy a Hasbulla fight kit soon.”

UFC Heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou made a mockery of this decision by the UFC as he tweeted, “I think I have my next title defense @Hasbulla_NFT”. He also added a collaged snap of him holding the belt and Hasbulla posing with clenched fists with his arms lifted up.

This unusual signing but the UFC actually bewildered A lot of fans. It is hard to actually believe that Hasbulla will ever fight in the UFC octagon. In this situation, the plans of the UFC behind signing him are very much in the grey.
