UFC Legend, Bas Rutten, didn’t see Alistair Overeem coming over his shoulder when he was talking about him. Thankfully, the incident was captured on camera and Jorge Masvidal gave his reaction to this fiery incident.

Jorge Masvidal thought it was reckless from Bas Rutten

Bas notices a split second before getting choked by the UFC fighter from behind. He continues to choke him while dragging him to the ground.

Upon being released, both of the fighters laugh about it and shake hands.

Bas Rutten had always been vocal about superstar UFC Fighter Alistair Overeem. He told the media in several instances about his weak chin and improper behaviour. Guess Rutten was still salty about the UFC fighter leaving “Golden Glory”.

Back in the day, ‘The Reem’ had an incident happen to him that caused his removal from the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix. He requested a change in date, but the management stuck to the date of September 10th, 2011.

Due to a toe injury, Overeem had asked for a later date. But instead, Zuffa decided to replace Alistair Overeem. This caused a lot of unrest in the Golden Glory fight camp.

Ultimately, “Reem” had decided to abandon the camp, as a result of a “breach of trust”. So definitely ‘The Reem’ was not happy with how things ended with Golden Glory Fight camp, where he essentially learned to become a fighter.
