UFC commentator Joe Rogan believes there was more to divulge when the reports of boxing star Floyd Mayweather‘s suspected use of IV resurfaced ahead of the fight against Manny Pacquiao in 2015. The suspected use of IV has recently emerged as a pressing issue in the MMA world. The lightweight champion Islam Makhachev triggered a chain of events that brought USADA’s IV policy to the limelight. Notably, the stand-up comic, who spent the last two decades closely witnessing the endeavors of fighters and the exacerbated cases of PEDs, has amassed vast knowledge on the subject. The famed podcaster exhibited the same when he expressed suspicions about the American boxer’s reports.

Notably, the 55-year-old sat with Andrew Huberman on ep. #1958 of The Joe Rogan Experience. The duo discussed the use of the PEDs and the host linked the case of Lance Armstrong as he busted the myth of the one-dimensional use of PEDs. Further, the comedian read a report about Mayweather’s presumed use of IV.

The famous TV presenter theorized Mayweather’s use of IV might be banned because of some arranged protocol for USADA. The USADA not only regulates the UFC, but also prohibits the use of IV.

Thus, the UFC commentator said, “So USADA, they’re the ones regulate the UFC and they won’t allow use IV because IV will allow you to mask whether or not you’ve done PEDs.”

Also, the color commentator stated, “I don’t think it was just that. I mean, he tested positive for something.”

This prompted Huberman to suggest how amphetamines caused at least a 1000% increase in catecholamine levels. However, earlier in the conversation, the noted neuroscientist also expressed his assessment of ‘Money’.

The guest opined the boxer was a natural and also had high levels of testosterone, as he used to see Mayweather running in the middle of the night in Vegas.

Following this, the host of the Huberman Lab podcast put, “So I’m not saying he was using anything. What I’m saying is if somebody has higher levels of circulating testosterone, male or female, they can do more work and recover. That’s just the way it is.”
