During an episode of his podcast, ‘The DC & RC Show’ Cormier asserted that McGregor, being the sport’s biggest star, should take the spotlight at UFC 300. He stated, “But if McGregor fights Diaz, that is what I believe draws the general fan in as much as anything that they could do in the UFC right now…”

Notably, Nate Diaz recently hinted at a trilogy with McGregor, showcasing an image of their face-off in the Octagon.
