Former UFC 2 division champion Conor McGregor is one of the biggest names in the promotion. Despite his tremendous success inside the Octagon, he has often found himself struggling to replicate it outside. Now more so than ever, he is facing a lawsuit worth millions. What’s worse? He’s being sued by his once close friend Artem Lobov. Perhaps he is not the best at handling a difficult situation, which was evident when he lashed out at Lobov on Twitter. This made matter worse as Lobov will be suing him again due to the incident.

McGregor and Lobov‘s friendship knew no bounds while they were together. Once McGregor flew to New York with his group and assaulted Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s bus for bullying Artem Lobov. Although now the friendship seems completely deteriorated as the pair face each other in court.

The friendship between them sparked one of the biggest rivalries in the promotion’s history. Moreover, Lobov claims that he is entitled to 5% of the revenue McGregor has earned while selling his stake in the whiskey business.

It’s tough for Conor McGregor to stay away from legal trouble

‘The Russian Hammer’ is pressing charges against McGregor over “a concerted social media barrage”. This is over a deleted Tweet of ‘Mystic Mac’, which had a voice message calling him ‘a rat’ over and over again.

Moreover, ‘The Notorious’ was also challenging the Russian to a fight at the SBG Ireland’s HQ. Lobov said the new lawsuit is “not least for defamation“.

Regarding the matter, McGregor‘s spoke person once said, “Proper No. Twelve Irish whiskey was created, developed, branded, and tirelessly promoted by Conor McGregor.

McGregor and Lobov had a friendship for decades

The root of their friendship runs past way over the Irishman’s UFC debut. The duo was a partner in sparring sessions throughout McGregor’s peak.

 

Moreover, the Irishman even coached ‘The Russian Hammer’ on his appearance on the Ultimate Fighter. Many say that ‘Mystic Mac’ had a huge role to play in bringing the Russian fighter to UFC.
