UFC Star Conor McGregor is one of the richest athletes in the sporting world. ‘The Notorious’ often boasts of his lavish lifestyle through his various social media accounts. Despite only having fought twice in the last two years, the Irishman has remained UFC‘s highest-paid athlete. The 34-year-old back in 2020 joined the likes of Tiger Woods, Roger Federer, and Floyd Mayweather Jr. in the $100 million club.
The former UFC Two-Division champion was ranked number one in the Forbes list of highest-paid athletes of 2021. McGregor posted an astounding $180 million as his earnings for the year, a whole $50 million higher than footballer Lionel Messi, who came in second. The UFC star joins an elite group of athletes, as he earned over $100 million in a year.

McGregor has reportedly earned around $25 million from his MMA career, but his total goes soaring once his other business ventures are brought up. The Irishman sold majority shares in his Whiskey company, Proper Twelve Whiskey, for a deal reportedly up to $600 million. The 34-year-old has also invested in many other lucrative businesses and earns handsomely through them.
The UFC star has his own clothing line and owns a highly successful bar in Ireland. Statistics for the Irishman also reveal that he earns reportedly around $149,000 for each sponsored post on his social media accounts.
What’s next for Conor McGregor
McGregor has remained out of action since his loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021. The Irishman suffered a broken ankle during the fight, delaying his return to the Octagon. McGregor has since then announced that he has recovered from his injury and is ready to fight again.
