Owing to Jon Jones‘ exemplary comeback, there has been a lot of talk about the once highly-anticipated fight between ‘Jonny Bones’ and ‘The Predator’ Francis Ngannou. This dream fight has been a long-time desire not only for the fight fans but also for the UFC president Dana White. Unfortunately, this fight never materialized and will remain a concept due to Francis Ngannou cutting ties with the UFC, despite the organization’s claim that they had put forth a hefty offer to retain him.
The UFC president has even confirmed that there won’t be any future dealings with the former heavyweight champion and current free agent Ngannou. In a recent interview, Dana White again took shots at the Cameroonian heavyweight for turning down the mammoth opportunity of fighting Jon Jones, opting instead to refuse it for no good reason, too.

Francis Ngannou upsets the UFC boss
During a recent interview with TMZ, Dana White clearly ruled out the chances of Jon Jones vs. Francis Ngannou happening. “I’m not interested,” White said. The UFC president appeared upset as he detailed how Ngannou’s decision to cut ties with the organization seemed bizarre to him, especially when such a massive opportunity to face Jones was on the line.

The 53-year-old continued, “He didn’t want the fight, and, I mean he left here without even having another deal in place. And, I know how the boxing world is, it’s crazy, but Francis didn’t want to do it[fight Jon Jones].”
It’s a pity that fans may never get to see this dream fight become a reality. However, White offered his thoughts on what could’ve happened if the two fighters had come face-to-face
Dana White predicts a shocking outcome for Jones vs. Ngannou
Just like every other UFC fan, Dana White is also in absolute awe of Jon Jones and has gone on record, stating that nobody compares to the newly crowned heavyweight champion. When asked about the hypothetical fight between Jones and Francis Ngannou, the UFC president made it clear that ‘The Predator’ would have faced the same quick defeat fate as Ciryl Gane if he fought ‘Jonny Bones.’

White said, “Let me tell you what, I think, a lot of other people feel this way, I think that’s exactly the way the fight would’ve gone if [Francis Ngannou] was in there, too.”
However, that fight seems to never materialize now. While the dream fight between Jones and Ngannou may never happen, fans can still look forward to Jones’ future fights and hope for more exciting matchups.
