Dana White Confesses He Paid Almost 5x of Basic UFC Fighter Salary for 3 Slaps in the Power Slap League
Ever since Dana White made the official announcement of ‘Power Slap: Road to the Title’, he started receiving harsh criticisms from all sides. However, from day one, White was least bothered by the hatred he received regarding the power slap league. As he did for the UFC, the 53-year-old made sure that he worked from his fingers to his bones to make the reality series a success.
The media continuously scrutinized the UFC boss for paying less to the fighters. They blamed him for not considering the amount of risk each contender takes. People pointed out the enormous health risk, noting that the fighters may suffer due to the slaps they receive, and even then they are paid too little. Now that the first season of Power Slap has come to an end, the UFC president has revealed how a fighter in the league has earned quite a lot in a single day, which is five times more than the basic pay of a UFC fighter.

Talking further on the same topic; White mentioned how a contender of the Power Slap League was able to earn $45,000 in a night. He reinforces how this amount is huge for the fighter and his family.
The 53-year-old added, “I mean some of these guys, I mean Frank. Tonight, walk out of here with forty-five thousand dollars. We’re gonna have the stories written tomorrow, ‘Oh, this is disgusting. These people did this for forty-five thousand dollars.’ That’s how this sh*t works. Some of these guys probably don’t make forty-five thousand dollars a year. They made it in one night. And now you know we’re on our way and this thing is gonna grow.”
