The UFC has once again held another successful event with UFC 299: O’Malley vs. Vera in Miami. The event had a lot of spectacular moments, with all the great matchups. Despite all this, a reporter managed to get on the nerves of the UFC CEO, Dana White.

The main event of UFC 299 featured Sean O’Malley defending his title against Marlon Vera which resulted in a 5 round war between the two rivals. However, something that stood out for a lot of people was the pink shorts O’Malley was rocking. This led to an interviewer asking the UFC CEO whether UFC fighter Brandon Allen would get a purple short for his next fight. In response, the 54-year-old had a pretty sarcastic response.

White seemed to be okay with Allan getting the shorts, but his response seemed quite passive-aggressive towards the journalist.

When asked about the shorts, White stated, “This is when we know we’ve gone too long with the press conference when we start talking about clothing. Sure he can have purple pants.”

O’Malley is the second fighter in the division who has gotten custom shorts for his fights in the UFC. The first was none other than Bryce Mitchell with his iconic camo shorts. Now another fighter has his eyes set on his own custom shorts.

Dustin Poirier looks for his own custom shorts for his next fight

Dustin Poirier was the next person to come on for the press conference after the UFC CEO. The lightweight started off just where Dana White left off in the discussion about the UFC fight shorts, as the Louisiana native went on to make his own demand for his fight shorts for his future fights.

Poirier, during the start of his Post-fight press conference, made his demands heard before he answered any of the questions. In the interview, he jokingly stated, “Before I answer the question, if Brandon gets purple shorts, I gotta get floral. First things first.”
