Dana White Had No Room for Jon Jones, Khabib & Amanda Nunes on His Version of UFC “Mount Rushmore”

The UFC has seen its fair share of legends over the years, with fighters carving out their place in MMA history. During an old interview, UFC president Dana White was asked about his picks for his version of the UFC Mount Rushmore. Despite the difficulty of the question, White had his answer ready.
White revealed his top picks for his UFC Mount Rushmore, which is a hypothetical monument that would feature the faces of the most iconic figures in UFC history. Surprisingly, White‘s choices did not include two of the greatest fighters in MMA history: Jon Jones, Khabib Nurmagomedov, and Amanda Nunes. With only four picks to make, the promotion boss’ list was certainly not going to be the definitive one that everyone would agree with.

It’s no secret that Jon Jones and Khabib Nurmagomedov are two of the greatest fighters in the history of the UFC. ‘Bones’ has a record of 26-1-0 (1 NC) and is widely regarded as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters ever. While ‘The Eagle’ retired undefeated with a perfect 29-0 record. ‘The Lioness’, too, has an impressive record of 22-5-0, winning 5 of her 6 fights.
While fans may not agree with White‘s choices, he has his reasons for picking the fighters he did, and his criteria for selection.
Dana White revealed his “debatable” top four UFC greats
The UFC has been around for over two decades, and throughout that time, the promotion has seen a myriad of fighters come and go; each leaving their mark as some of the greatest and most lethal fighters in the sport. When asked about his version of the UFC Mount Rushmore’s top four, Dana White had his picks ready. Even though they excluded Nunes, Nurmagomedov, and Jon Jones.

The UFC president stated, “I mean, listen, this is so debatable.” He then added, “I could tell you the ones that I’ve had the best time experience with working with. [That] would have to be, Georges St-Pierre, Conor McGregor, Chuck Liddle, and Ronda Rousey.”

Upon telling about the merit he picked these fighters, White said, “Now, those aren’t my picks for the best ever. But they are the best dealt with, worked with, and, obviously, all legends.”
While this list cannot please everyone, Dana White had his own set of criteria for these picks. And his pick for these ‘legends’ is entirely his opinion.
