Dana White and Oscar De La Hoya have feuded for years now, and it looks like it won’t stop anytime soon. Perhaps the resentment between the two can be tracked down to 2017 when Conor McGregor took on Floyd Mayweather for a professional boxing match.
The fight acquired much acclaim but for De La Hoya it wasn’t good enough. Today, the former boxer is still looking to get a real fight- a fight between him and the UFC head honcho where the two would exchange blows. Dana White has previously bashed De La Hoya by connecting his past to substance abuse. That was his response to De La Hoya bashing the McGregor boxing matchup by saying that the bout was “disrespecting the sport of boxing.” Of course, White wouldn’t take too kindly to it all.
The two have previously been friends but since the 2017 matchup, all they’ve done is spitfire for each other. In a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, De La Hoya spoke about Sean O’Malley and how he and iconic boxer Ryan Garcia could fight in the main event while De La Hoya and White could exchange blows for the co-main.

“I would actually entertain that because Ryan can fight, you know, in the main event with this kid and maybe I can do Dana on the co-main,” he told Helwani jokingly. Of course, the two would never really fight because the UFC head honcho handles only the business part of things. However, the comments were enough to entertain the fans.
Fans in splits after Dana White gets asked to the ring, will he accept?
UFC fans are not known for going easy on whoever they’re trying to troll. Of course, De La Hoya’s clip was met with much uproar and hilarious comments. While the fight will probably never happen, some fans made a good case for the UFC head honcho on Instagram.

Clearly, fans are not holding back on their response to De La Hoya’s answer. Perhaps it’s all just some online trolling of a comment that wasn’t meant to be taken seriously. Either way, will Dana White respond to the comments with his usual cadence or let this one slip by? What do you think?
