Conor McGregor probably amassed the most amount of wealth, being an MMA fighter. The Irishman has established himself as a global brand through his fights, on and off the Octagon. Anyone who’s familiar with McGregor knows that he earned many of his fans through his personality and confidence. However, the Dubliner took a break from the fighting sport. And focuses more on his popular brands, ‘August McGregor’ and ‘Proper No.12’. Because of this shift, fans think he’s lost that spark that made him one of the best contenders in the lightweight and featherweight divisions. But, in a recent tweet, The Dubliner tried to clarify that he’s not all about the money, reading a verse out of American rapper, Dr.Dre’s song.

But, the tweet just added some more fuel to the fire, which was definitely not his intention.

The 37-year-old tried to distance himself from his profitable businesses to remind fans of the ‘Mystic Mac’ that once ruled their hearts. Because fans have long forgotten that version of ‘The Notorious’. Most fans assumed that McGregor, like most successful athletes, forgot why he became a stalwart in the MMA. Not for the fame. Not for the money. But, the love for the game.

However, most fans felt that McGregor is not hungry anymore. And the money made him lose focus of what made him special in the first place.

‘The Notorious’ is eager to prove his haters wrong

In another recent tweet, Conor McGregor revealed his plans of returning as a UFC fighter after a horrible injury. McGregor wrote, “I’m going to slice through someone on return.” to express his enthusiasm towards returning to the UFC, possibly in 2023.
