Sylvester Stallone is a huge action star in Hollywood. The famous “Rocky” star gave his take on the highly anticipated UFC clash back when Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier faced each other for the third time in their careers.

Sly seems to have switched his favorites’ according to the statement he gave earlier.

Sylvester Stallone weirdly claims Dustin Poirier has a “Big-time Advantage”

The action star expressed his views claiming “Poirier has the big-time advantage” when asked about the Poirier vs McGregor fight.

But a while back, Stallone had a unique response when asked about McGregor. The reporter asked “Conor McGregor’s been saying he wants a piece of the action…at UFC” referring to McGregor getting shares in the UFC tournament because he multiplied its audience.

Sly Stallone didn’t think for a moment responding, “Absolutely.” “Of course.” and gave an affirmative answer. The Hollywood star also offered to help McGregor with his share in the UFC.

However, he felt the third fight between The Notorious and The Diamond was a tough one to predict. By that point in time, the two fighters had already faced each other twice. “The Expendables” star initially gave it a lot of thought, saying “That’s a tough one man…!”

Stallone then added, “You got a really hungry, young guy (Poirier) and then you got a guy who’s made a lot of money but he’s also sorta hungry (McGregor).”

Stallone ultimately gave his prediction, favoring Dustin Poirier over Conor McGregor.

The first time they faced each other was way back in 2014 when they were competing in the featherweight division. The fight went in favour of Conor McGregor, who won in the first round by knocking Poirier out.

At UFC 257, the second battle took place in the lightweight division. This time, Poirier took revenge against McGregor by knocking him out and returning the favour.

Sly Stallone believed that Poirier held the advantage in their third battle. It has been more than a year since the match happened. So let’s look back on how it went down. It all happened so fast, as Poirier instantly took up space and dominated McGregor. He landed some big shots while McGregor ended up damaging his own leg during a kick. The event ended anticlimactically, with McGregor being carried on a stretcher.

In hindsight, Stallone was right as Poirier walked away with a win by a technical knockout in the first round.
