Sometimes it gets highly disheartening to tune into a news channel and learn about women getting attacked all over the world. It is the need of the hour for every woman to know self-defense. There are numerous YouTube videos and Instagram reels that give women some techniques on how to escape from their attackers. However, that’s when the real question arises: how practical are they? There are thousands of videos that say women can escape from their attackers if they try this method or that method. The reality of most of these techniques is that the majority of them won’t help in an emergency.
The UFC veteran Michael Bisping has recently talked against one such video where the Australian radio host Jackie O gave women a trick to rescue themselves from the assaulter. ‘The Count’ made sure that he corrected the radio host who advised a woman on self-defense. Furthermore, he wrote about the right techniques to escape the attacker.

The self-defense technique of the Radio host that failed to impress Michael Bisping
In an Instagram video uploaded by Mcdojo Life, radio host Jacqueline Ellen Last, aka Jackie O, was seen teaching women a self-defense technique from her KIIS FM station. The Instagram page Mcdojo Life mocked her, showing how impractical her method is. In the video, she said “Okay, ladies, I’m gonna show this iPhone can help save your life if you are ever gonna get attacked. Here we go! Okay, so what we did there was grab your phone because we always have our phone with us.”
She further detailed, “So grab the corner of the phone and stick it straight into the sternum, which is the most sensitive and painful part of the heart. So you stick it into their heart, the better. This naturally forces them to step back because of the pressure. And hopefully, that gives you a chance to get away.”
