“He Is Dead”: Dana White’s Sudden Announcement About the Passing of “Bones” Left Many Questions Unanswered for His Mother

The UFC boss, Dana White, is one of the most recognized figures in the combat sports world. The 53-year-old also carries an easygoing and camera-friendly persona. Many consider White one of the most successful entrepreneurs of the modern day. He was also featured in the ‘Variety500’ list of the 500 most influential persons in the global media industry.

Despite boasting massive success in his field, White has also been involved in quite a few noted controversies. Including but not limited to The infamous slap scuffle he had with his wife, Anne White, may be counted as his latest controversy. Dana’s mom, June White, has also mentioned a number of incidents in her book, “Dana White, King of MMA”, which reveal the sometimes strange behavior which Dana showcased as a toddler.

June White described that Dana had a bosom friend whom he called ‘Bones’. She stated that Dana used to have long and “full-blown” conversations with Bones, even when he was alone. June White also penned, “It was rare that Dana ever did anything to cause trouble, but when he did something that he thought he might get into trouble for he would tell me it wasn’t his fault. Bones did it.”

But The UFC boss’ mom was quite surprised when she found that Dana didn’t have any more conversations with Bones. She stated, I asked him where Bones had been lately, and he told me he was gone”. The next answer from the toddler UFC boss shocked had June White in a shock.

She penned, I asked him where Bones had gone, and he said, “Oh, he is dead.” He completely surprised me by his answer. I didn’t even think he knew what dead meant”.

She went on, “I asked him a few more questions that seemed to be boring and annoying him, and so I let it go. Bones was gone forever and never did return. I wish now that I had asked Dana how Bones met his demise.”

This might have been just a casual answer from the toddler White. But, some might see this as an early sign of White’s sometimes eccentric persona. Getting irritated by the questions of a cut-off or “dead” friend isn’t a thing that most kids would do.

Dana White took good care of himself even as a kid

June White also described the fussy nature of little Dana White regarding his cleanliness and clothing. She penned, “When we lived in Florida, Dana liked playing in the sand, but he did not like having sand on him”. She also stated, “He was by no means your typical little boy who was always getting dirty”.

Dana White’s mom further laid stress on how he loved changing his attire from time to time, stating, “When he was only two years old, he would change his clothes three or four times a day”. She also described an incident from Dana’s childhood days when he had pulled out all of his clothes from the drawer just to find something to wear.
