“He Lets His Emotions Cloud His Judgement”: Israel Adesanya Lashes Out at “Cringe King” Henry Cejudo Ahead of His Long Awaited Return at UFC 288 Against Aljamain Sterling

The year 2023 came with a lot of exciting news for the MMA community. Some of the big names in the UFC decided to come back to the octagon. One among them is UFC two-division champion Henry Cejudo. Cejudo’s last bout in the UFC Octagon was against Dominick Cruz at UFC 249 on May 9, 2020. After winning the bout via decision, ‘Triple C’ decided to retire from the sport. However, after a hiatus of three long years, Cejudo decided to come back to the sport.

‘The Messenger’ will now fight against the current bantamweight champion, Aljamain Sterling, at UFC 288. The bout between the two is around the corner, and the two tough fighters are all set to lock horns for the bantamweight title. The UFC fighters and fans are already making their predictions, and the current middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, has a clear winner in mind. ‘The Last Stylebender’ believes that Sterling is going to win the bout. He further trash talks about ‘The Messenger’ for a number of reasons.

In a recent video uploaded on Adesanya’s YouTube channel, he picks a winner between ‘The Funkmaster’ and ‘The Messenger’. After making his choice, Adesanya said,I’m gonna pick Aljo because I don’t like Henry. See, I don’t have to make no bullsh*t up and try and like justify. I’ll just say I don’t like it. I don’t like the munchkin. I don’t like Henry Cejudo.

Adesanya was clearly enraged at Cejudo for speaking against him on several occasions. He added, “Yeah, I said your name little f*cking b*tch… For such a small man, he lets his emotions cloud his judgment. He starts to get real hater vibes because he thinks that me being great takes away from his greatness where I’m like, ‘Nah, you’re great in your own lane.’ You f*cking do your thing. You f*cking do your thing, cringe king.” In the same interview, Adesanya mentioned the three long years that Cejudo stayed away from the sport. ‘The Last Stylebender’ mentioned how this could backfire on him in the upcoming bout.

Cejudo offered help to Robert Whittaker to beat ‘The Last Stylebender’

Cejudo turned a lot of eyes toward himself when he announced his coming back. Since then, the Olympic gold medalist has made a lot of headlines. Recently, Cejudo surprised the UFC world by training Jon Jones. Moreover, he offered to help Robert Whittaker to defeat Adesanya. Whittaker and Cejudo were talking in an interview with Fox Sports. During the conversation, Cejudo motivated Whittaker by telling him that he can easily win back his middleweight championship from Adesanya.

At the moment, ‘The Last Stylebender’ is basking in the glow of his recent victory against Alex Pereira. Additionally, Adesanya will now fight the winner between Robert Whittaker and Dricus Du Plessis. Du Plessis and Whittaker are all set to square off at UFC 290 on July 8, 2023.
