‘He’ll Make a Full Recovery’ – Manager Gives an Update on Conor McGregor’s Future in UFC

Conor McGregor faced Dustin Poirier in their much-anticipated fight at UFC 264. This fight was the third between the two, with ‘The Diamond’ winning their last fight at UFC 257. Fans from all around the world were very excited to see who wins the fight and claims the trilogy.
However, the fight could only last 1 round and ended after McGregor snapped his leg towards the end of the first round. Recently McGregor and his manager Audie Attar provided updates after the lightweight fighter underwent surgery.
Attar took to Twitter to share details of McGregor’s surgery. He wrote, “Conor is in recovery after 3 hours of surgery. The surgery was successful repairing fractures of his tibia and fibula. His physicians included Dr. Neal El Attrache from Kerlan-Jobbe, Conor’s longtime orthopedist, and trauma surgeon Dr. Milton Little from Cedar-Sinai.”

“Both doctors are confident that with time he will make a full recovery. We anticipate his return to the Octagon.”
Attar seemed hopeful of McGregor’s recovery and is confident of his return to the Octagon. Meanwhile, ‘Notorious’ himself took to social media and said he was ‘feeling tremendous.’

Will we see Conor McGregor back inside the Octagon?
While after the fight, McGregor did claim that Poirier had done nothing to claim the victory. Few people would agree with him, especially the judges of UFC 264, two of whom scored the round 10-8 in favor of Poirier. Coming into this fight many people believed this was McGregor’s last chance to prove that he is still amongst the best in UFC.

However, with his loss against Poirier, McGregor now has 3 losses in his last 4 fights. Therefore, many people believe McGregor should retire now as he seems demotivated inside the Octagon.
McGregor meanwhile seems to have other plans as he called out ‘The Diamond’ for a 4th fight. However, after this victory, Poirier is all set to challenge for the UFC lightweight title in his next fight.
