“His Ego Is All He Has Left” – Conor McGregor’s Desperate Attempt at Humiliating Rival Charles Oliveira Falls Flat as Fans Trash Irishman’s Disrespectful Slander

Conor McGregor and Charles Oliveira went back and forth on X. The two top UFC fighters have never crossed paths inside the UFC Octagon but did not miss a chance to mock each other on social media. Recently, hell broke out between the two when ‘Do Bronx’ reminded the UFC superstar about his inactivity. McGregor, someone who is famous for controversial remarks, threw a number of insults at the Brazilian fighter. When the fight fans came across the verbal war going on between the two, the majority chose to call out ‘The Notorious’ for disrespecting Charles Oliveira.

Conor McGregor has been sidelined from fighting ever since he suffered a broken leg during his bout against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. The MMA community believed that he would be back in the octagon this year. However, since the Irishman failed to enter the USADA testing pool, it is somewhat confirmed that he won’t be returning to the UFC in 2023 to fight Michael Chandler. Nevertheless, the former UFC double division champion often tweets about his love for fighting.

Recently McGregor tweeted, “Fighting is MOTIVATION!” When Oliveira came across the post, he chose to pull the leg of ‘The Notorious’, saying, “lol. you’re without motivation more than 2 years.” Oliveira’s jab didn’t sit well with McGregor, as a response he tweeted, “Recovering from a leg break, you nobody. You are nobody now, again.

The UFC superstar didn’t stop there as he even insulted ‘Do Bronx’ by targeting his profile picture. McGregor tweeted, “Get off that Lamborghini you broke bum.” The banter between the two was quick to capture the attention of the fight fans. When fans came across the exchanges between the lightweights, the majority sided with Oliveira and decided to put the Irishman in his place.

In his last bout, Oliveira defeated Beneil Dariush in the very first round via TKO at UFC 289. This victory has earned him a title shot against Islam Makhachev at UFC 294. Hence, a fan pointed out that Oliveira gets a title shot next while McGregor is still inactive. A few other fans were also unable to tolerate McGregor disrespecting ‘Do Bronx’.

One fan tried to tear apart the Irishman by detailing his thirst to be the best, but not signing contracts simultaneously. Further, he also pointed out the irony of McGregor’s callouts-

“Bro no amount of money can buy what Conor wants most, to be the best in the world. The more he talks the more he makes him and his accomplishments diminish. Every fighter that wins now Conor wants to fight but won’t sign any contracts all he can say is they’re broke, it’s the same stuff every time”

Another fan trolled both Oliveira and McGregor about their common losses- “Regardless they both tap to dagestan fighters”

One fan took a wild guess at Oliveira’s intentions behind picking up beef with McGregor:

“Charles wants that Conor fight cause he knows Islam walks him down”

Meanwhile, another felt that other fighters should just move on from McGregor- “All the fighters should just block Conor. His ego is all he has left”
