Joe Rogan might be considered one of the world’s biggest mixed martial arts fans. Furthermore, his love for the sport and the Ultimate Fighting Championship splashes out when he gets deeply hurt as some of the greatest fighters walk out of the promotion. In his podcast, ‘JRE: The MMA Show’, the 55-year-old podcaster talked with his guest, Belal Muhammad, about the release of ‘The Predator’ from UFC. Moreover, he believed that resigning was okay, but walking out as the Cameroonian warrior did was simply uncalled for.

It’s not just the commentator, but the entire world went into shock as the news came out. However, Jon Jones‘ upcoming fight has somehow kept the fans’ spirits in check. Francis Ngannou’s release from the UFC caught the MMA world in great turmoil. The UFC president, Dana White, released the heavyweight fighter from the promotion during the UFC Vegas 67 press conference.
Joe Rogan bummed down on fighters leaving UFC
During their conversation, Muhammad claimed that there was nobody better at managing distance than Stephen Thompson. However, little did he know that he struck a soft spot for the color commentator. Rogan simply declared that it was Jon Jones who was the greatest at distance management. As soon as the name of the former light heavyweight champion came into focus, Muhammad revealed that he was very interested to see how ‘Bones’ would fare in the upcoming match.
Although the UFC commentator admitted that the fight would be interesting, he revealed some things that put his mind unease. He said, “Well, it’s really interesting. I’m so bummed down, man. I do not like this whole thing, I do not like this at all. I do not like it when a champion leaves, I do not like…”
He also revealed that he didn’t like the best fighters not fighting for the title. He said, “I do not like having the best guy in the world not being the champion. I do not like the best guy in the world not fighting for the title against Jon.”
Furthermore, Joe Rogan said that it would have been better if Ngannou resigned. He said, “If like, if Francis wanted to resign, and he wanted to say, I’m done, I had a great career, but I made some money, and I’m gonna relax. Okay. Congratulations, sir, you’ve had a great career. But not to make it through negotiations. I don’t know what the deal is.”

Recently, the heavyweight fighter was released from his contract with the UFC. He was previously believed to be pitted against Jon Jones. The UFC boss revealed that the team tried to negotiate with the fighter for almost two years. But alas, it was all for nothing. He said, “I don’t think he thought the Jon Jones would really happen. That’s what I think. I think that he didn’t think that that would really come to fruition, but it did.”
