‘I See You 209’- Kamaru Usman Offers Nate Diaz a Title Shot

UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman and Nate Diaz have taken to Twitter and engaged in a fiery back-and-forth exchange. Stockton’s second son came out and trolled Usman for fighting Colby Covington next, a fight he already won. Nate Diaz believes that Kamaru Usman should face new opponents and not take on contenders he’s already defended his belt against.
In response, Usman fired back at Diaz by offering a title shot if he can convince the UFC brass to grant him one. ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ seems ready to take on Diaz so long as UFC executive Hunter Campbell is on board.

The war of words didn’t stop there as Nate Diaz claimed that Usman was a company man who does what he’s told. Usman simply doubled down on his stance and seems to be fired up to secure the money fight against Diaz. Usman also called Nate Diaz an ‘internet tough guy’, a claim that Nate Diaz and his fans will likely resist.
Ur locked down you do what ur told to do like a good champion pic.twitter.com/nl6xRUopZ2

Key word “CHAMPION” lol. All you guys just internet tough guys nowadays. Like I said if you really want this pressure then holla at your boy hunter😉

Diaz rounded out the conversation by throwing more shade at Usman for fighting Colby Covington for his next title defense. Usman is fresh off a title defense rematch against Jorge Masvidal wherein he was greatly favored to win. Diaz clearly wants a go at ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ and their banter seems to suggest a future wherein the fight could be booked.

Kamaru Usman vs Nate Diaz: Straight out of the left-field
A welterweight title fight involving Nate Diaz would be something that no MMA pundit could ever have predicted. He’s on a skid currently and isn’t even ranked inside the top 15 of the welterweight division. He was convincingly beaten by top contender Leon Edwards in his last fight and isn’t anywhere near contention.
