UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland has been beefing with undefeated welterweight prospect, Ian Machado Garry over the past month. It all started with Strickland commenting on Garry’s relationship with his wife. This led to Garry blocking Strickland from his social media accounts and even threatening to sue Strickland. This has further escalated.

The two have exchanged some pretty hilarious exchanges. However, the middleweight champ does not seem to take it too personally. But the same can’t be said for Ian Garry as he recently called out Strickland in an interview.

Ian Garry calls out Sean Strickland

In a new interview on the MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, the undefeated welterweight pointed out that he would like to fight Strickland this year or the next. He went on to warn the champ saying, “Any man or any person whoever talks or mentions me, my wife or my family in that way, I’m going to get my hands on them.”

Garry also went on to predict the American would lose his title, stating, “And in an ideal world towards the end of the year, I don’t think Sean Strickland is gonna be world champion anymore.”

The Irishman also pointed out a possibility for him to move up in weight in the coming future to fight Strickland. He concluded by taking a jab at Strickland’s past, saying, “I’ll beat him so bad that he’ll forget all that trauma from his childhood and he can thank me.”

At this point in time, the middleweight champion seems to be living inside Garry’s head rent-free. However, Sean Strickland isn’t the only fighter that the Irishman has to deal with.

Is Machado’s future chaotic?

Colby Covington was another fighter who blasted Ian Garry for his relationship with his wife. During the press conference for UFC 296, Colby Covington took aim at Ian Garry despite him pulling out from the event due to suffering from Pneumonia.

In the press conference, he insulted Ian Garry and his wife, saying, “I was going to teach him a lesson, you know, just like I taught Leon a lesson. You don’t cross the boss, he tried to cross the boss and call the shots and he couldn’t do it. The same lesson I’m gonna teach to Ian, you don’t make a h** a housewife.”
