“If a Girl Did That to Me… F*** This. That’s So Humiliating” – Joe Rogan Embarrassed by Holly Holm’s Treatment of Steve-O

Joe Rogan is a famous podcaster and a former professional MMA fighter. The stand-up comedian is all funny-looking but has some serious tricks up his sleeve. The BJJ Black belter spoke about one of the toughest grappling moves in a recent episode of his podcast. His guest spoke of being in a humiliating situation with a former UFC Women’s bantamweight champion, involving that technique.

The podcast host remarked how he would hate it if a woman ever did that to him.

Holly Holm displayed her strength against Steve-O

Stephen Gilchrist Glover, a.k.a Steve-O, joined the former Fear factor host in episode #1900 of The JRE podcast available on Spotify. The host explained how effective the crucifix technique is against unsuspecting opponents.

When his guest recollected a story involving Holly Holm, where she displayed her power by attacking Steve-O. Glover said, “She (holly holm) took my arms away from me and showed me what she could do.”

The podcast host was shocked upon hearing about this incident and felt a bit embarrassed. He thought of how he’d hate to be in Glover’s position. The stand-up comedian pointed out, “If a girl did that to me, I’d be like, so upset. I’d be like ‘I need to learn how to fight.’ F*ck this. That’s so humiliating.”

Joe Rogan explained how the crucifix works

The fitness enthusiast explained how tough it is to crawl out of that position. Joe Rogan also shared the key to getting out of it: “You can’t get out of it, it’s so hard to get out of it. Like, you have to be elite to get outta that. There’s a few techniques that you can do to get outta that. The key is you have to get an arm free.”

And added how important it is to not compromise yourself. He remarked how “It’s a terrible position because legs are so much stronger.” And added, “When your legs are trapping that arm, that arm is f*cked right?”

This crucifix hold is an important technique used by dominant grapplers such as Khabib Nurmagomedov. It is very effective and would result in a tap-out when done correctly.
