UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya successfully defend his title at UFC 271 on February 12 and received a hefty check for this fight.

Many UFC pundits and fighters have lauded the Nigerian-born kickboxer for being an absolutely entertaining fighter in the promotion. One of them is the UFC pay-per-view star, Conor McGregor.

In the lead-up to one of the biggest pay-per-view events this year, ‘The Notorious’ praised the middleweight champion many times on social media. Later, after Izzy’s successful title defense, the Irishman congratulated ‘The Last Stylebender‘ for becoming the second-highest-paid athlete on the UFC roster.

The middleweight champion acknowledged McGregor’s praise and quickly responded to him in a funny way, “Don’t come asking me for nuffin’!! I don’t have it…#whatmoney ?!?!”

This win at UFC 271 marked Adesanya’s fourth title defense in his UFC career. Having defeated most of the top-tier fighters from the division, many would wonder what can be next for the champion.

After he beat Robert Whittaker via a decision, ‘The Last Stylebender’ acknowledged Jared Cannonier. ‘The Killa Gorilla’ beat #4 Derek Brunson earlier on the night in what many considered a title eliminator. Considering his run in the promotion, the third-ranked Cannonier seems viable for the UFC middleweight title shot next.

In the post-fight press conference, the UFC boss Dana White claimed that he won’t say no to ‘The Killa Gorilla’.
