‘It’s Not Been Signed Yet’- Dustin Poirier Says His Team Has Agreed to Fight Charles Oliveira

Former UFC interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier opened up on rumors of his upcoming bout that is set for December. For a meaningful period of time, Poirier has been targeted to face Charles Oliveira on December 11 in the final pay-per-view of the year. In a sit down with Valuetainment, Poirier revealed that he will indeed face Oliveira next.
However, Poirier mentioned that a contract for the bout has not been signed, but moves have been made to set the contest in place. Poirier has been on a collision course to contend for the undisputed championship for over a year now. ‘The Diamond’ provided some insight into the behind-the-scenes process of putting the fight together.
“I’m just waiting on a contract. It looks like I’ll be fighting for the lightweight world championship December 11th in Las Vegas. It’s not been signed yet, they actually leaked the news yesterday so it’s starting to get out there. I’ve agreed to it, December 11th I’m going to be the world champion.”
