Former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has caught the attention of his fans once again. The 33-year-old, who is stepping back inside the cage on 9th April, recently took the time to visit a comedy show by the legendary Dave Chappelle. Following this, Adesanya tweeted about meeting Chappelle and even mentioned being star-struck at the interaction. Considering that the 49-year-old comedian is regarded as a legend amongst his peers, ‘Stylebender’s reaction to it was quite natural.
Evidently, fans also found it interesting that the superstar MMA fighter claimed to be awestruck at the meeting. In response, many of Adesanya‘s supporters tweeted the UFC fighter, even calling it a meeting of the GOATs. Ultimately, all the responses served as a small reflection of people’s admiration for the duo.

Fans react to Israel Adesanya’s tweet after meeting comedian Dave Chappelle
Adesanya‘s tweet made it quite obvious that the 33-year-old was indeed a fan of the stand-up legend. Interestingly, Chappelle is also close associates with UFC commentator Joe Rogan, who himself is an established stand-up comedian as well. Fans in the reaction were also quick to point that out.
Adesanya‘s original tweet read: “Just met Dave Chappelle and now we cool…I’m starstruck!!! Yes I am!!!”

One of the first comments was from a fan of the middleweight star. Making a statement out of the former middleweight champ’s career, he felt that Chappelle should also have shared the same sentiment on meeting the fighter.
He should’ve been statstruck by you instead after all you are the greatest black mma kickboxing muaythai fighter my great glorious king 👑 🙏🙏🙏

Not surprisingly, Joe Rogan‘s name was also brought up.

One fan hoped that Adesanya didn’t encroach on Chappell’s personal space.
I hope you didn't approach him and let him live his life. Show love from a distance.

There were a few Chappelle fans as well in the tweets.
That man is legend… love to meet him one day also!!!!😭😭😭

And of course, there were bound to be a few haters in the responses.
You’ll be starstruck when you meet Poatan again too.

Overall, the tweets were quite wholesome, with a majority of them just showing their appreciation for Chappelle and Adesanya.
Israel Adesanya set to fight Alex Pereira at UFC 287
After suffering a fifth-round loss to Alex Pereira and subsequently losing his middleweight belt, the city kickboxing representative is now gearing up for yet another fight with the Brazilian. The duo, meant to face each other at UFC 287, have fought thrice earlier, once inside the UFC octagon and twice in a kickboxing match. Interestingly, Pereira has beaten Adesanya all three times, serving as some sort of Kryptonite for the former champ.
