Former UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones took to Twitter recently to troll his followers. Jones tweeted about having a productive dinner with UFC President Dana White. Hence, fans and followers were very excited to know what went down between the pair.

Jones tweeted, “I just had a great dinner and the best conversation I’ve had with Dana and a very long time, we got the deal done. Date to be announced soon.

White responded, “Incredible night brother.

Subsequently, ‘Bones’ reminded fans of the date and time when he sent out the Tweet.

In case a few fans didn’t get his previous Tweet, the UFC’s former light heavyweight champion reminded fans about the day and asked everyone if they had a good April fools.

Jones’s claims over fighter pay have caused a lot of stir in his relationship with the UFC and White. However, he used that as a perfect ploy to fool the fans. White also played his role perfectly, making the banter even more fun.

Should the UFC book Jon Jones vs Francis Ngannou next?

MMA fans consider Jones as the greatest fighter of all time. After conquering the light-heavyweight division of the UFC for over a decade, he decided to move up a division. Despite being unranked at heavyweight, the UFC’s top-ranked pound-for-pound fighter would have had a chance at glory as White revealed that he would fight the winner of the UFC 260 title fight.

However, recent developments suggest that Ngannou might fight other contenders (potentially Derrick Lewis) in his first defense of the title. Nevertheless, fans are still hopeful to see the Ngannou vs Bones collision inside the Octagon next. And the sooner UFC and ‘Bones‘ agree on terms, the better.
