Khabib Nurmagomedov is making his transition from being a fighter to a promoter. As the owner of Eagle Fighting Championship, the primary goal of ‘The Eagle’ is to develop young fighters in the region. However, being at the helm of the promotion requires him to think from a financial standpoint as well. For the same, Nurmagomedov has a fantasy fight that would generate sizeable revenue.
Nurmagomedov‘s primary goal for the EFC is to provide a platform for the budding local talent. However, this would mean that he would be passing up on the opportunity to make revenue. However, if he ever made a fight purely to sell tickets and PPVs, it would be between Brock Lesnar and Fedor Emelianenko.
“Almost all the stars are tied to contracts with various organizations. If just a fantasy, then I would take Brock Lesnar – a heavyweight. And one could make him a fight with Fedor Emelianenko in Russia. It would be very interesting. Both our star and the star of American MMA. And I would organize this fight in my ring. By the way, anything can happen,” Nurmagomedov said during an appearance on Match TV (via Gazeta.Ru).

While Nurmagomedov dropped the two massive names, even he would know that getting these two under his banner would be no straightforward task.
Khabib Nurmagomedov will meet Dana White later this month
Ever since his retirement, every meeting between Nurmagomedov and the UFC President seems to be a big deal. The first one in January only cemented Nurmagomedov’s decision of staying retired. Regardless, White seems adamant about bringing one of the best fighters on his roster back to the Octagon.

The undefeated champ has gone to the extent of saying that he thinks Dustin Poirier deserves to be the 155-pound champion. However, the latter would most likely fight Conor McGregor for a trilogy later this year. Given that McGregor just lost via a knockout, the trilogy between him and Poirier is unlikely to be for the title.
