Khamzat Chimaev, the UFC welterweight rising prospect, is carrying around a lot of hype since his fourth victory in October 2021. He has finished all of his four opponents, three in the first round of the fight. However, none of this impressed the middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya.

The Russian-born Swedish fighter previously took a jibe at ‘The Last Stylebender’ for his performance against Robert Whittaker at UFC 271. Despite his unanimous decision of victory over Whittaker, Chimaev criticized Adesanya’s ground game and also called him an easy money fight.

However, ‘The Last Stylebender’ isn’t taking Chimaev seriously and claimed that the latter has a lot more to do before he can cross paths with the middleweight champion. In the latest episode of the Hotboxin’ podcast with Mike Tyson, Adesanya talked about Chimaev’s call out.

The middleweight champion said, “He can beat some middleweight but I’m like show me something. Show me something he’s like never.”

“His last fight was impressive and said I might not like you. But if I’m impressed by what you do, ill give you props. Yeah, he’s a beast, but he’s a beast at 170lbs,” Adesanya concluded.

Meanwhile, heavyweight legend Mike Tyson, who faced similar situations during the prime time of his career, shared a piece of advice with the Nigerian-born UFC champion. He said, When I was a champion and these guys they weren’t raised in hell but knocking out guys and saying I want to fight you.”

“I said listen. I mean, you won’t make any money now. But if you really think you are, though, why don’t you come to my spot and become my sparring partner? All my sparring partners were contenders.” Tyson concluded.

Khamzat Chimaev is on his way to becoming one of the greatest MMA fighters

‘Borz’ made his roaring UFC debut in 2020 and has looked unstoppable ever since. He currently hails an undefeated record of 10-0 under his name and is 4-0 in the UFC. Moreover, Chimaev has won a Performance Of The Night bonus for all his four UFC bouts.
