Dana White’s primary talking points from his pre-Power Slap League final press conference

Most combat sports fans know that Dana White‘s new venture, the Power Slap League, didn’t garner pretty positive responses from the masses. Even some fighting world personalities had stood against it. But, White‘s PSL eventually managed to hold on to the scene to host its first final.

However, the PSL boss, White, rather had some criticizing words for the media. He blamed the media for creating a generally negative opinion and selective outrage against his new promotion. Recently, at the pre-PSL final, White stated, “The media has been incredible through this thing. Selective outrage, that’s what’s happened here at Power Slap… Logan Paul and Arnold Schwarzenegger had a slap event unregulated, no medicals, no nothing. Nobody said boo. We do the right thing, and everybody is outraged. You guys have helped me build this thing into a monster”.

White put up the fact that Arnold Schwarzenegger and Logan Paul had also been involved in hosting a similar slap-fighting contest. But there was absolutely nothing against them in the media.

Moving on, White also stated that he himself was probably the reason for the media going against PSL. The UFC boss mentioned, “Everything that’s negative that’s being said about it is an attack on me. It’s me that these guys are attacking. It’s not the actual slapping. The media, it’s all about me. Okay? They want to f**k me. That’s why they’re saying what they’re saying about the slap.”

It will be interesting to watch whether White comes up with a ‘Season 2’ for the PSL despite the negativity for it.
