Today, we start off by having a look at the superb win of Erin Blanchfield over her Flyweight opponent, Jessica Andrade at the UFC Vegas 69. Also, the former UFC Light Heavyweight and Bellator star, Ryan Bader, was revealed to be an assistant coach of Team Chandler. Lastly, the UFC Lightweight prospect, Evan Elder, faced defeat against his UFC Vegas 69 opponent Nazim Sadykhov, with a doctor’s stoppage due to the horrible cut the American suffered over his right eye.

Erin Blanchfield conveys intent to the women’s flyweight division with a victory

UFC Vegas 69 turned out to be a superb event for the popular UFC Flyweight contender, Erin Blanchfield. ‘Cold Blooded’ Blanchfield went on to gain a submission victory over her rival Jessica Andrade in the second round itself.

Andrade looked ahead of her rival in terms of their striking abilities. She also landed a few notable strikes in the initial round. But, even with stellar takedown defense in the first round, the Brazilian was unable to defend herself from being taken to the ground in the second. Blanchfield grabbed onto her exposed back and submitted the Brazilian with a rear naked choke after a few seconds of resistance.

Ryan Bader revealed to be part of team Michael Chandler for TUF 31

The former UFC star and current Bellator heavyweight champion Ryan Bader defeated Fedor Emelianenko on his last outing, which had the Russian MMA legend retiring with a defeat. Recently, Bader disclosed a pleasant surprise to TUF fans as he announced his involvement as an assistant coach in Michael Chandler’s team.

Evan Elder tasted defeat after a terrible cut led to a doctor stoppage

UFC lightweight star Evan Elder didn’t have a favorable outing at UFC Vegas 69. Despite starting off quite strong, things turned unruly for ‘the American’ in the third round. Elder suffered a horrific cut over his right forehead.

Initially, a lot of fans thought that a knee from his opponent, Nazim Sadykhov caused the deep cut. But later, ‘The Phenom’ himself pointed to a different cause that lead to the injury. He stated that it was a clash of heads that caused this severe bruise.

The UFC supremo, Dana White, initially questioned the stoppage but said that he would “STFU” after he took a closer look at the injury over Elder’s right eye.
