Renowned podcaster and UFC commentator Joe Rogan devotes time to his roots on the JRE podcast with the JRE MMA Show. These special Joe Rogan Experience episodes see renowned combat names appear and have candid discussions on MMA and beyond. This week’s guest was #4 ranked UFC welterweight Belal Muhammad. The 34-year-old, currently on a four-fight winning streak, gave his two cents on why UFC icon Khabib Nurmagomedov wouldn’t be able to live a normal life despite hanging his gloves.

‘Remember The Name’ shed some light on an incident that transpired while he was with Nurmagomedov’s team in Abu Dhabi. The story showed how fans always go the extra mile to catch a glimpse of their favorite fighters.

‘The Eagle’ told Muhammad that he wished he could do things that normal people do. ‘Remember The Name’ recollected, “He [Nurmagomedov] was also telling me …’I wanna be able to just go to Starbucks one time and just sit down and have coffee like I used to’.”

In response, the UFC commentator cited another legend who found it hard to transition to normalcy after retirement.

Joe Rogan claimed Khabib Nurmagomedov is a legend

Joe Rogan mentioned that even boxing icon Muhammad Ali had a tough time doing normal things after he gained popularity.

The podcast host said, “Muhammad Ali couldn’t do that before he died. You reach a certain level of fame when that’s just it forever, and that’s where he [Nurmagomedov] is at. I mean, he’s a legend forever. If he never coaches again, never steps foot in a gym again. That guy is a legend forever.”
