Joe Rogan talks about politics very frequently on his podcast. In the latest episode of his award-winning podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience‘, Rogan hosted writer and stand-up comedian Bridget Phetasy. Episode 1890 saw the two having a long conversation. While they discussed a lot of topics, it was the talk of politics that made the commentator talk about how he feels about the Joaquin Phoenix Hit ‘Joker’.

Joaquin Phoenix played the Batman series villain, Joker. The story revolved around Arthur Fleck, an aspiring stand-up comedian, and clown. Arthur Fleck suffers from a neurological disorder that makes him laugh uncontrollably in inappropriate situations. As the story grows, The Joker becomes more and more confident and commits serious crimes.

Joe Rogan on Joaquin Phoenix’s ‘Joker’

The duo was talking about how the government and laws have prioritized releasing criminals as compared to the safety of the citizens. Joe Rogan said that it was actually the only way to bring chaos to a city. It was at this point that Bridget Phetasy exclaimed, “Think about the joker letting prisoners free.”

Rogan laughed and said “when that movie came out. I remember I went to see it with my wife, we were in the movie theater and were watching joker and she is like ‘this seems a little too close to possible’. That was the best version of the Joker ever. It’s fu*king good and they are doing a joker 2 right now. “

Bridget Phetasy talked about the speculations around the movie before its release.

She said that she remembered how people anticipated violence in the movie theatres because of the movie. However, nothing of that sort took place.

Rogan is not the only Joker Fan

The 2019 movie ‘Joker’ is a psychological thriller film. This Joaquin Phoenix starrer movie was directed by Todd Phillips. The movie has bagged several awards, including Academy awards, Golden Globe awards, and BAFTA awards across multiple categories.

Made with a total budget of an estimated $55-70 million. The movie became the sixth highest-grosser of 2019. It went on to gross a total of $1.074 billion.
