Cyborg had a few negative remarks about her former UFC colleague back in October. Her comments about McGregor during an interview about a potential Katie Taylor fight showed she was not the Irishman’s biggest fan. Their latest Twitter spat shows the feeling is mutual.

Conor McGregor fired back at Cris Cyborg

McGregor took to Twitter to go scorched earth on Anthony Smith after the fighter cum analyst levied some serious allegations against the ‘Notorious‘ one. He also posted voice tweets targeting Smith and former teammate Artem Lobov. Cris Cyborg responded to one of those voice tweets and invoked a scathing response from the Irishman.

Under the tweet, the Brazilian champion wrote, “Pathetic.” McGregor held nothing back in his retort. “You are an abomination. Shut your pie hole,” wrote the 34-year-old.

Cyborg has received insults over her appearance many times over her career. McGregor is only the latest addition to a long list of people who’ve ridiculed Cyborg, including Dana White, Joe Rogan, and Ronda Rousey.

Cyborg recently came under fire from fans for her comments about not wanting McGregor on the card if she fought Katie Taylor.

Cyborg’s criticism of McGregor

During a recent interview with the Irish Mirror, Cris Cyborg candidly expressed her thoughts on McGregor, “I can fight Katie Taylor in Ireland but I don’t think putting Conor McGregor on the same event would be the best way to promote the fight,” the 37-year-old said.

“Both Katie and myself have fought our entire career to help create opportunities for other women in our respective sports. Conor has only won one fight in the past six years and I think with all the controversy he has had outside of the ring, it just wouldn’t be a good fit for an event looking to empower the next generation of women entering combat sports.”

While the Irishman kept mum on these comments, he was in no mood to tolerate Cyborg’s latest dig.
