The rivalry between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov is nothing new to the MMA community. The bitter relationship between the two UFC greats began when Nurmagomedov defeated ‘Mystic Mac’ at UFC 229 in 2018. Nurmagomedov trapped the Irishman in a neck crank in the fourth round of the bout, forcing McGregor to tap. Even after nearly five years since the bout, the rivalry between the Irishman and the Russian continues.

Over time, people who support Nurmagomedov also turned against McGregor because of his trash talk against ‘The Eagle.’ One among them is the former UFC lightweight champion’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz. Both Abdelaziz and McGregor usually engage in verbal back-and-forth on social media. Recently, when McGregor insulted Nurmagomedov’s family, Ali Abdelaziz went on to remind the Irishman of the loss he faced against Khabib Nurmagomedov. He also threw a jab at the former UFC double division champion by calling him a “d*ugs boy.”

Recently, Khabib Nurmagomedov’s cousin, Umar Nurmagomedov, withdrew from his upcoming bout against Cory Sandhagen. The two were set to headline the event in the bantamweight division. However, due to an undisclosed injury, Umar Nurmagomedov pulled out of the bout. The UFC is still searching for a replacement.

When the Irishman came across the news, he tweeted, “Runs in the Family.” Later, the UFC superstar deleted the tweet. However, by the time his tweet caught the attention of many, including ‘The Eagle’s manager. As a response to McGregor’s tweet, Ali Abdelaziz wrote, “Don’t forget this family killed your legacy stay after d*ugs boy.”

Abdelaziz not only hinted at McGregor’s pathetic loss against ‘The Eagle’ but also accused him of doping. Recently, a lot of controversy has surrounded McGregor regarding the use of PEDs. To make matters worse, the Irishman did not enter the USADA testing pool for his upcoming showdown against Michael Chandler.

He has also bulked up unrecognizably, and many, including the UFC commentator Joe Rogan, believe that the former champion may be juiced up. Abdelaziz chose to seize the opportunity and mock ‘Mystic Mac’ about it.
