Elder 209 boy Nick Diaz is known for his fighting attitude. The fighter had a long MMA career that started in 2001. Diaz announced retirement in 2013 but has made two comebacks since then. The first came in 2015 against Anderson Silva and the second came in 2021 against Robbie Lawler. Unfortunately for Diaz, both fights ended in a loss for him. In a recent interview on the ‘Dying to See Me’ podcast, Diaz revealed why he couldn’t win against Robbie Lawler in 2021.

Talking to Matt Montague, Diaz said he wasn’t in his best shape when he went in to fight Robbie Lawler. Diaz had been away from the cage for almost 6 years when he took the fight. Lawler dropped Diaz in the third round and the referee stopped the fight. Nick Diaz has not fought again since then. His statements, however, did not sit well with MMA fans. Twitter saw users calling out Diaz for complaining after a loss.
Nick Diaz gives details on why he lost against Robbie Lawler
The older Diaz brother said he wasn’t perfectly happy going in for the fight against Lawler. He said, “So I went into training camp, and I kind of got backed into it too.” He added, “I was in between management, it wasn’t like when I went and found a group to work with and organize my situation. I was going back and forth with the people I was working with and some of the old people I was working with during this training camp and my trainers.”
Fans were, however, not too happy with Daiz’s statements. A Daiz fan commented,
That was the most excited I’ve been for a comeback ever. Man I wanted to see Nick win.

He felt Nick Diaz was making too many excuses.
I watched Francis Ngannou defend the Heavyweight title when the organization was against him. This guy has been the King of excuses since the GSP fight. Fucking fraud
