Jake Paul has been trying to fight against Tommy Fury since 2021, but the fight keeps getting canceled. The original fight was supposed to take place on December 18, 2021. But unfortunately, Fury pulled out of the fight due to an injury. Former UFC champion Tyron Woodley served as a replacement for Fury.

To everyone’s surprise, Paul knocked out Woodley and has been trying to fight Fury ever since. The second fight was announced a week ago and booked for August 6, 2022. Sadly, yet again, problems have popped up regarding this bout. Since the fight and press conference takes place in the US, Fury has to fly out but can’t do so due to a visa issue.

Although the two teams have been working behind the scenes to fix this issue, it seems unlikely that this bout will occur.

Chiesa reacted to this news on Twitter. He replied to Ariel Helwani, who wrote, “This fight starting to feel like the boxing version of Khabib-Tony.” Here, Helwani is comparing this fight to Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s planned bout against Tony Ferguson, which was canceled multiple times and is considered a “cursed fight.”

Chiesa responded to Helwani by saying, “I agree. The only difference is Khabib and Tony are elite. These two guys s*ck.” It is safe to say that Chiesa isn’t the biggest fan of the two stars. But Chiesa does respect UFC legends Nurmagomedov and Ferguson.
