Former President Donald Trump has undeniably had one of the most turbulent presidential runs in US history. From the moment he threw his hat into the ring, Mr. Trump faced an uphill battle against a crowded field of contenders. However, his path to the White House was anything but straightforward; he had to contend with a number of scandals and controversies that could have halted his candidature.

Now, with hopes of returning to the position of power next year, the ex-POTUS finds himself embroiled in yet another controversy, and this time, a rather knotty one. As per several reports, he has allegedly been accused of paying adult star Stormy Daniels hush money just before the 2016 presidential election in order to conceal claims of an extramarital affair. However, a veteran MMA fighter is unhappy with all the recent happenings and took to Twitter to share the same.

Donald Trump has found support from outspoken UFC veteran, Jake Shields, who has a rather different take on this situation.

Donald Trump is on target, feels Jake Shields

The former Strikeforce champion and UFC title challenger Jake Shields believes Donald Trump is the focus of an attack. The 44-year-old Shields took to his Twitter and listed all the identical incidents involving Mr. Trump that are the first to have ever occurred to a US President to support his claims.

He ended his tweet with “They will do anything to stop Trump”.

Jake Shields put forth all the incidents, including the FBI raid, social media ban, being impeached, and so on. He even went on to claim that the system will go to any lengths to ‘stop’ Donald Trump.

Shields, who is known for his outspoken nature, is not new to controversies. Last year, he got into an altercation with UFC veteran Mike Jackson at the UFC PI in Las Vegas.
