This has been repeatedly displayed on his podcast. In episode #1912 of JRE, the 55-year-old commentator talked about advancements in science with his guest, Steven Rinella. No discussion about scientific development can leave Elon Musk out of the discussion. Unquestionably, the duo stumbled upon Neuralink. However, Rogan’s words revealed some secrets about the corporation.

After talking with science enthusiasts like Neil deGrasse Tyson and Elon Musk, Rogan’s take on Neuralink has grown. Neuralink Corporations are engaged in the development of ultra-high bandwidth brain-machine interfaces that could connect human brains to computers. Although the idea sounds like a sci-fi plot, Musk has begun researching it. 

Joe Rogan thinks Elon Musk is in trouble

During the talk, Rogan said that he recently read a story about the billionaire probably being in trouble. He said, “I was reading a story today that, like, Elon might be in trouble. The Neuralink company because of animal abuse. Because they run these studies on monkeys. Then they kill the monkeys.”

Furthermore, he revealed that the researchers have to perform autopsies on the monkeys to find out about the effect of the technologies. While these procedures might be a necessity, it is nothing short of a dilemma. Moreover, it is one of the reasons which has been enraging the public.

Finally, the podcaster addressed the requirement for these procedures but ended with a question probably for the audience. He said, “And this is outraging people. Which is a very interesting moral dilemma. Like, if you can fix all these diseases, if you can cure paralysis, if you can greatly expand the ability of the human mind through technology, but you have to kill a bunch of monkeys to do it. Are we okay with that?”

In a previous episode of the podcast, Rogan talked about the inevitability of Musk’s technology. He declared that this new technology can’t be good or bad. However, new tech would emerge in the future that would change the world. He declared that this change would be much greater than what the internet did.

Finally, he said, “And I think most likely it’s going to be human neural interfaces.” Without a doubt, he was talking about Neuralink. The commentator is indeed in awe of the technology.
