One of the top PPV stars of the sport, Jorge Masvidal, has a reputation for his brash persona. The ‘Street Jesus’ returns respect with respect and delivers flying knees to those who do the opposite. A big admirer of the late Kimbo Slice and boxing icon Roberto Duran, Masvidal recently revealed another personality who he considers a G.O.A.T.

For the one-of-a-kind BMF fight, Masvidal came up with the idea to call Dwayne Johnson to put the belt around the winner. Besides, ‘The Rock,’ Masvidal shares admiration for another Hollywood legend.
Jorge Masvidal reveals another one of his GOATs
In a recent Facebook post, Jorge Masvidal shared a picture of Hollywood action legend Jackie Chan. ‘Gamebred’ captioned the image saying, “One of the GOAT’s.” The image showed two pictures of Jackie Chan side-by-side.

In the image on the left was a 20-year-old Chan. The image is from the 1979 movie, ‘The Fearless Hyena.’ The image on the right showed a much older Chan from the present day. Currently, Jackie Chan is 68 years old.
Jorge Masvidal has often shown respect to people like Jackie Chan, who are pioneers of their industries. His devotion to the late Kimbo Slice and Roberto Duran is a perfect example of this.

During the lead-up to the BMF fight, Masvidal showed his admiration for Duran several times. He acknowledged Duran’s legacy and shared his admiration, hailing the former four-weight world champion.
Masvidal announces preferred return date
Jorge Masvidal has been on a hiatus since his loss to Colby Covington. Prior to the grudge match, Masvidal lost two consecutive title fights against Kamaru Usman. ‘Gamebred’ has been out of action since March 2022 but has now given a date for his return.

During a recent social media post addressed to fellow welterweight Gilbert Burns, Masvidal shared his intention to return in March and compete on the London PPV card. In the clip, Masvidal accused Burns of lying about him turning down the fight against Burns multiple times.
Rumors of a fight between Burns and Masvidal were circulating for months. However, it did not come to fruition. Burns is currently scheduled to face Neil Magny at UFC283 in Brazil in January. This has left Masvidal without an opponent for a March return.
